Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), received players and officials of the Under-20 Women’s National Team on Monday. The team returned to Nigeria after the 2026 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The reception took place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Falconets have been Africa’s most consistent team at this level. They reached the final in 2010 and 2014, losing to Germany both times. In 2012, they reached the semi-finals.
